Residentsof Kaleeba, Concordia and Kingsford met with State Member for Light TonyPiccolo and Deputy Premier and Minister for Planning, the Hon John Rau as partof the community conversation.
The community conversation gave residents the opportunitytodiscuss their concerns on any issue that was of importance to them.
The meeting was held at the Lucks Road Reserve, Kalbeeba and Mr Piccolosaid it was important that the meeting was held on the residents ‘home turf’.
“Someresidents seem to find it more comfortable to raise issues at the communityconversations rather than visit the electorate office,” Mr Piccolo said.
“It’s about adopting a flexible approach to communityengagement.
“Localresidents raised a number of planning issues, which Mr Rau was able to address first hand,including the recently enacted Barossa Protection Zone.”
A number of local government matters were also raised, which MrPicollo andhis staff would nowdiscuss with the Barossa and Gawler councils.
